Then we'll build a customized musical experience drawing from our extensive knowledge of music and years of experience behind the decks. Whether you want timeless favorites, deep cuts, dance-floor anthems or a little bit of everything, we'll make sure the music feels like you.

We use top-of-the-line professional sound equipment and systems designed to deliver clear, balanced audio throughout your event.
We're music people, after all—and we want everyone from the casual listener to the resident audiophile to leave thinking, that sounded fantastic.
Need Lighting?
We can help!
While Record Shop DJs does not own lighting equipment, we have established relationships with several excellent lighting vendors. We can recommend the right partners for your event, coordinate with them, and even operate the lighting equipment you rent through them.
One less thing for you to worry about.
Straightforward Pricing
Our current booking rate is $1,750 for your entire event, including consultation, planning, and DJ services.
We don't watch the clock and start adding hourly charges once your event hits a certain threshold. Your rate stays your rate.
The only additional costs you may encounter are travel-related accommodations for events outside the Chicagoland area.

Planning
This is where the details come together. We'll gather the information we need, build a tailor-made plan for your event and account for all the live-sound details along the way. We'll stay in touch, keep things on track and make sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle.
The Day Of
You enjoy the event. We'll handle the rest. We'll arrive early, get everything set up, run multiple sound checks, troubleshoot anything that needs troubleshooting, and make sure we've covered all the bases before it's time to turn up the music and keep you and your guests moving.
